This is one of my favorite recipes! This is a recipe from Jamie Eason's Live Fit program on bodybuilding.com. I have made this recipe many times and I love it! It is SOOO good!! Now you can have chinese food without all of the extra sodium and MSG. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! 😋
Ingredients:

24 oz (3-4) chicken breasts
2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup no calorie sweetener (Xylitol, Splenda)
1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
3 tbsp low sugar ketchup
arrowroot - I use about a tbsp
cooked brown rice and veggies of choice.

Directions:

1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and place in a large bowl.
2. Season the chicken with the garlic salt and pepper, turning to coat.
3. Cook the chicken over medium/high heat until done (no pink in center)
4. Meanwhile, whisk together chicken broth, vinegar, sweetener, soy sauce, and ketchup in a medium sauce pan.
5. Bring sauce to a boil and then turn to low heat. Add the arrowroot a little at a time, whisking briskly.
6. Let the sauce set up by continuing to stir for about two minutes.
7. Pour sauce over cooked chicken and serve with brown rice and veggies.

<![CDATA[Easy Chicken Noodle Soup]]>Thu, 19 Oct 2017 15:36:44 GMThttp://rejuvenatinghealthandwellness.com/recipes/easy-chicken-noodle-soup
This soup is ridiculously easy to make and so good for you! Especially if you aren't feeling well. It is also kid approved in my house! I made it last night and my 5 year old actually ate 4 bowls!!

Ingredients:

Organic Bone Broth
Organic Chicken Broth
Rotisserie Chicken
Organic Carrots
Organic Celery
Noodles of Choice

Directions:

Pour all of the broth in a big pot and bring to a boil. Chop up the carrots and celery and add to the boiling broth. Add the noodles. Shred the chicken and add it to the pot. Continue boiling until the noodles and veggies are soft. That's it! Easy Peasy!! Feel free to add other veggies or spices you like. Enjoy!

<![CDATA[Whole-Wheat Pumpkin Bread]]>Wed, 14 Oct 2015 02:23:37 GMThttp://rejuvenatinghealthandwellness.com/recipes/whole-wheat-pumpkin-bread
My family LOVES this recipe! I seriously make this once a week. It is perfect for a breakfast treat, or when you are craving something sweet without all the added sugar!! It is 100% real food. I found it on my favorite website 100daysofrealfood.com. She has some really great recipes on there!
When I first started trying to switch to real food I would spend hours in the store trying to find the ingredients, so I have provided a picture of the ingredients I use. I always use organic ingredients whenever possible.

Ingredients:
 • 1 ½ cups whole-wheat flour
 • 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
 • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
 • ½ teaspoon nutmeg (forgot to put it in the picture)
 • ⅛ teaspoon cloves ( I ran out, but it tasted great without it!)
 • 1 teaspoon baking soda
 • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
 • ½ teaspoon salt
 • 2 eggs
 • ½ cup oil (I used coconut oil, melted)
 • ½ cup honey
 • ½ teaspoon vanilla
 • 1 cup pumpkin puree (not in the picture because I had some leftover from my last batch)
 • ½ cup chopped tree nuts (optional)

Directions:
 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
 2. In a large mixing bowl whisk together the dry ingredients (from the flour down to the salt).
 3. Make a well (hole) in the center and throw in the eggs, oil, honey, and vanilla. Stir together thoroughly with a fork, but do not overmix.
 4. Fold in the pumpkin puree and nuts (if using).
 5. Generously grease a large loaf pan or put muffin liners in a muffin pan and then pour in the batter.
 6. For a loaf bake for approximately 30 – 40 minutes and for muffins bake for approximately 18 - 22 minutes. Check for doneness by making sure a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

<![CDATA[Easy Crock Pot Chicken Tacos]]>Tue, 13 Oct 2015 23:29:57 GMThttp://rejuvenatinghealthandwellness.com/recipes/easy-crock-pot-chicken-tacos
I stole this recipe off of Pinterest. It is soooo easy!! I usually try really hard to stick to non processed foods, so I don't normally use most of these ingredients. But hey, I'm a busy mom too! Sometimes we just have to go with something fast and easy. It is ALWAYS better to cook a fast meal at home than go to a fast food restaurant!!

Ingredients:
3-4 boneless chicken breasts
1 packet low sodium taco seasoning
1 packet Ranch seasoning mix
2 cups low sodium chicken broth
(I always use organic ingredients whenever possible)

Directions:
1. Put the chicken, taco seasoning, ranch, and chicken broth in a crock pot.
2. Cook on low 4-6 hours
3. Shred the chicken with a fork and let it soak up the broth. Serve in taco shells topped with whatever you like!

We top ours with lettuce, tomato, guacamole, and sour cream. YUMMY!!! It seriously takes like 5 minutes to put together! :)
